One big difference between GPM and YTM which will hit hard post-transition is the fact that you can stream to Chromecast from GPM for free, whereas in YTM casting is a privilege of Premium subscribers only. FWIW, Downloaded my 4, song library successfully with no warning popups or anything. Err my original comment formatting got messed up. This is my biggest issue. I am switching over to iBroadcast. Works with Android Auto. Not sure about Sonos. Not good for their shareholders, therefore not their business model. However, hands down the most robust option is Subsonic. so I had to bite the bullet. I do not stream music on my phone — I have a soundcard with a library of over 10K songs I was a record collector for 30 years, lol. So, all the music I play on my phone comes from my files. However, I had no idea about this change and did not save my playlists and lost them all when all of a sudden GPM went dead on me. As I am a creative, I lost song sequences for future episodes of the shows I write, and just great playlists I had created in general. I was wrong because they pulled the rug out from me! My question is what is a comparable app to stream your OWN music files, not a streaming service. None of the apps I downloaded really are as straight-forward or nicely organized e. Samsung Music, Shuffle. I am searching for this answer too! I just found this app called Muzio Player on Play Store and I absolutely adore it. It has the same and more features than gpm and it works super well.
